Georgia’s capital city of Tbilisi will host the Regional Conference on Sustainable Heating and Energy Efficiency in the Eastern Partnership on Monday and Tuesday, organised by the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission and the Council of European Energy Regulators.
The event will be opened by the Chair of the Commission Davit Narmania, with representatives of the Economy Ministry, non-governmental organisations, the Energy Training Centre and various international organisations, as well as Georgian and foreign experts, participating in the conference.
At the panel discussion, the participants of the regional conference will discuss existing strategies and initiatives to improve energy efficiency and sustainability of heating and the promotion of clean energies in the Eastern Partnership countries, as well as the ways to integrate renewable energies and solve the climate change problems.
The regulatory body said the aim of the conference, held within the EU4Energy programme - Promoting the Clean Energy Transition in the Eastern Partnership countries, was to build capacity and share experience, policy development and modern approaches to energy efficiency.
