Health Minister discusses needs, challenges with oncology patients

Georgian Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze on Tuesday met with oncology patients to discuss their needs, challenges and possible solutions.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasised that “any decision” made by his office would “prioritise the protection of patients' best interests”.

Sarjveladze also mentioned the Ministry would be guided by the approach when working on meeting the needs of patients diagnosed with cancer.

The meeting also discussed the issues of patients' involvement in the process of decision-making by health authorities.

Sarjveladze said communication with patients would continue, with subsequent steps for solving the identified problems to be discussed with them.
