The United Airports of Georgia will discuss cooperation with dozens of international airlines within the CONNECT Route Development Forum in the Moroccan city of Tangier between Wednesday and Friday, the airports body said on Tuesday.

The Georgian delegation, headed by the company’s Director Irakli Karkashadze, will have an opportunity to hold meetings with over 20 companies, including Eurowings, Air Serbia and SunExpress, with prospects of launching cooperation with new “strategic partners and tour operators”.

UAG also said it would be represented at the forum for the first time alongside an international partner, with the United States Agency for International Development’s Economic Security Programme joining the agency.

UAG has been cooperating [with the Programme] for many years, and together we have implemented many projects”, Karkashadze said.

The three-day forum will involve presentation of promotional and video materials about Georgia by the domestic airports authority.

About 600 delegates of 75 airlines and 280 airports from 60 countries will be involved in the 19th edition of the annual event.
