Mamuka Mdinaradze, the head of the ruling Georgian Dream party in the Parliament, on Wednesday said the Government had “successfully navigated through” several "key challenges" and achieved positive outcomes while prioritising national interests.

In an interview with Rustavi 2 TV, Mdinaradze highlighted challenges such as the ongoing efforts to reintegrate the Russian-occupied regions, ensuring economic development, pursuing European integration and maintaining domestic peace and security amid conflicts in the South Caucasus and globally.

He emphasised the necessity of addressing those challenges “collectively” and finding “effective solutions” to “propel progress in all directions”, before pointing to the Government's responsibility to address them “concurrently [and while] always being mindful of national interests”.

Territorial integrity is undoubtedly one of the country's main challenges, alongside fostering peace, development, economic progress, and the aspiration for EU membership. The key is to tread on all these paths without detriment to any, preserving national identity and sovereignty", Mdinaradze said.

The party official also stressed the Georgian Dream authorities had “demonstrated” to the international community and citizens their capability to navigate these challenges “effectively, while standing proud and ensuring tangible results”.
