The best tourism service providers were awarded in Georgia’s Black Sea city of Batumi at the Magnolia 2023 award ceremony, with Sheraton Batumi Hotel named as the best brand hotel, Monarch - the best hotel and Hostel 47 - the best hostel by tourists and the tourism sector representatives.
The awards were given in 14 different categories, including the ones for the best popular cafe and restaurant - Gazapkhuli, the best travel agency - Adjara Tour, as well as the most popular museum - Gonio Apsarus Archaeological-Architectural Museum, tourist route - Machakhela route, etc, the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara said on Wednesday.

Mtirala National Park was named the most popular protected area, Batumi Boulevard - the seaside park in Batumi - has been the most visited place and Green Lake and Goderdzi Alpine Botanical Garden - the most popular tourist attractions in mountainous Adjara.
The Honorary awards in tourism were also presented to individuals for their special contribution to the development and promotion of tourism in Adjara. Tinatin Zoidze, the Head of the Tourism Department of Georgia's western region of Adjara, presented certificates to the representatives of the local government, private sector, as well as the media.
Zoidze briefed the guests on the implemented projects and the achievements of the region in tourism in 2023 at the awarding ceremony, which has been held in Adjara since 2015 to encourage the tourism sector and improve service in the region.
