The Georgian National Tourism Administration on Friday said a “large-scale” campaign in Brussels, Belgium was promoting Georgia as a travel destination in the city’s public transport and airport.

Coincided with the Europalia arts festival, a biennial multidisciplinary event highlighting artistic and cultural facets of select countries in its editions, the effort by the national body involves banners showcasing the travel attractions and LED screens at Brussels International Airport.

The Administration said the campaign was targeting the European market and highlighting tourism products of the country.

It coincides with two displays hosted as part of the festival - one on the Georgian avant-garde art scene between 1900-1936 and the other about the country as “A Story of Encounters”.

The GNTA said the festival programme also included theatre performances, literary meetings and a retrospective of Georgian cinema.

Personal exhibitions of contemporary Georgian artists and multidisciplinary performances are also welcoming visitors, along with music shows.
