Irakli Karkashadze, the Director of the United Airports of Georgia, on Saturday said the UAG would have a 20-year development plan for the Kutaisi International Airport in April 2024, in cooperation with the experts from the International Air Transport Association.
Karkashadze noted the IATA experts, who had inspected the terminal and got acquainted with the existing potential of the airport during their visit, would also familiarise themselves with the related procedures and documentation for the development plan.
We gave the IATA representatives a detailed look at the existing infrastructure of the Kutaisi airport and provided all information about passenger services. The work process will last around 6 months, and in April we will have a 20-year Kutaisi Airport Development Plan”, the UAG Director added.
IATA representatives will prepare short-term, medium-term and long-term plans for the development of the airport.
