Cooperation between Georgia and Lithuania in sectors including energy, tourism and telecommunications was discussed on Friday in a meeting involving Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili and Ausrine Armonaite, the Minister of the Economy and Innovation of Lithuania.
Hosted by the bilateral economic commission between the two governments in Vilnius, the meeting saw Davitashvili noting the countries had an outlined agenda on how to develop cooperation in the list of fields that also includes transport, trade, agriculture and innovations, the Georgian Ministry of Economy said.
Armonaite tweeted her commentary following the meeting:

The Ministry also cited Davitashvili as saying the commission would bring "concrete results" for businesses of the two countries, leading to “more active” economic cooperation.
He also mentioned Girteka Logistics, one of the leading European companies in the field from Lithuania which is expected to launch operations in the Georgian market.
"Girteka will start working in Georgia and employ several hundred people. The entry of this company will contribute to the development of Georgia's logistics potential. Moreover, we are sure that from 2023, other successful, innovative Lithuanian companies will also enter the Georgian market", Davitashvili said.
