Georgian PM discusses UK ties, conflicts, security with Archbishop of Canterbury, 03 Oct 2023 - 13:37, Tbilisi,Georgia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Tuesday discussed his country’s relations with the United Kingdom, the “difficult” security and humanitarian situation in Georgia’s Russian-occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) regions and existing security challenges in the South Caucasus region with Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury. 

In a Tbilisi meeting the top official briefed the visiting cleric about his Government's stance to resolve conflicts through peaceful means, the Government press office said. 

The Archbishop is visiting Georgia as part of his regional trip to support peace, the press office added.
