Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Saturday said the Fraser Institute's Economic Freedom of the World 2023 report ranked Georgia 15th in Europe and 25th in the world, being ahead of 19 NATO members, 16 European Union member states and all EU candidate countries.
In his tweet, Papuashvili noted it was important to admit that in the ‘Impartial Court’ category of the report, Georgia was ahead of four EU and all candidate countries, “despite not even having formally obtained the candidate status yet”.

The Parliament Speaker stressed it was “yet another solid endorsement” of Georgia’s progress in real numbers and “not in subjective perceptions”.
