Turkey ($1.68 billion), Russia ($1.50 billion) and the United States ($1.02 billion) were the top trading partners of Georgia in its total external trade turnover in 2022, preliminary data from the National Statistics office of Georgia show.
Georgia's top partners by exports in 2022 were Armenia ($495mln), Azerbaijan ($485.3mln) and Russia ($416.2mln), while the top markets by imports were Turkey ($1.42bln), Russia ($1.08bln) and the US ($975.3mln).
Overall, Georgian external trade turnover amounted to $12.09 billion in January-July 2023, posting a 18 percent increase year-on-year.
The value of exports rose by 15.9 percent and equalled $3.58 billion, while imports also grew by 19 percent, amounting to $8.52 billion in the first seven months of 2023.
