The United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday highlighted the “incredible” dedication of first responders involved in rescue operations in the disaster zone of a landslide that hit western Georgia’s Shovi resort on Thursday and killed at least 19.
In his social media message, Blinken offered condolences for those affected by landslides.
“We stand with our friend Georgia and commend the incredible dedication of first responders who are working tirelessly to save lives and attend to the injured”, Blinken said.

Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze on Sunday said several children were among the victims of the disaster.
A total of 210 individuals have been evacuated from the disaster zone .
