Cooperation between Georgia and the United Nations Development Programme was discussed on Thursday in a meeting between the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Nick Beresford, the UNDP Resident Representative in Georgia.
The meeting focused on “further deepening and strengthening” the cooperation, the press service of the Georgian Parliament said.

Beresford informed Papuashvili “in detail” about priority areas, current activities and plans related to a new phase of the UNDP Parliamentary Support Project.
The officials also reviewed institutional development of the Georgian Parliament and the needs in the process, as well as the importance of the involvement of interested parties in Parliamentary processes during the implementation of the project.
