Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Wednesday said a strong North Atlantic Alliance was “the only path” for Georgia and Ukraine “to enduring peace and freedom”, stressing “the choice is ours and no Russian veto is to be allowed”.
In her tweet comments on the ongoing NATO Vilnius Summit, Zouraichvili noted the Alliance had demonstrated its cohesion, unity and unwavering support to Ukraine and said she “warmly” welcomed the decisions that strengthen the country’s security.

The Heads of State and Government participating in the meeting of the North Atlantic Council on Tuesday issued a Communiqué reiterating the 2008 Bucharest Summit decision that Georgia and Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance.
