The Investigation Service of Georgia’s Ministry of Finance and the Agency of Financial Monitoring of Kazakhstan will cooperate in combating financial and economic crimes after signing a deal on cooperation on Monday.

The Investigation Service said the memorandum would help “deepen and activate” cooperation between the bodies in detecting, preventing and investigating the crimes.

The heads of the two bodies also discussed prevention of tax and customs offences, and emphasised the relevance of exchanging knowledge on “analytical approach and practice”, it added.
