Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Sunday said the radical domestic opposition was sabotaging the implementation of the 12 priorities, outlined by the European Union last year for granting its membership candidate status to Georgia.
In his remarks with the local media, Kobakhidze noted the radicals had set a task not to fulfil the EU recommendations, but he expressed hope that the majority of representatives of the opposition would “take a constructive attitude” and would get involved in the working process.
Last week, Kobakhidze noted all the 12 conditions would be fulfilled by the end of June and stressed Georgia would receive the status in December in the case of a “merit-based decision” to be taken by the EU.
