Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Thursday praised his Georgian counterpart by saying Georgia under his Government was an example of a state maintaining “values” while living under a “shadow of Russia”.
In his address at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Hungary’s capital city of Budapest, Orbán noted the “knowledge” of the Georgian Prime Minister was “really appreciated”.
“Here is the Prime Minister from Georgia - we can learn a lot from him, how a small country can manage to live in the shadow of Russia while maintaining its own [...] values”, Orbán said.
In his turn, Garibashvili stressed the Hungarian people were “very lucky” to have such a “wise and visionary” national leader as Orbán.
“In this difficult era, the Hungarian people are very lucky to have such a wise and visionary national leader, who defends the interests of his brave nation and Hungary, stands guarding fundamental values and is truly an exemplary politician, fighter and a striving Christian man”, he said.
