Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Sunday “heartly” congratulated all those celebrating Easter today, the “greatest” Christian holiday.
This day, which represents the eternal victory of God's love, goodness and the beginning of a new life for humanity, fills the hearts of believers with joy”, Zourabichvili noted in her social media post.
The Georgian President wished “peace, unity, health and well-being” to those celebrating the feast.
Catholic, Armenian and Lutheran churches are celebrating Easter today, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial following his crucifixion.
