Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Sunday highlighted the important role and active involvement of society in raising awareness about autism, on the day celebrating the World Autism Awareness.
The duty of the state is to ensure equal development conditions for every citizen and increase access [to them] for people with special needs - in need of special attention from the state”, Garibashvili stressed in his social media post.
The Georgian society “must take care” of protecting the health, education and employment rights of our fellow citizens and together create a better environment for everyone, the Head of the Government noted.
The World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognised day, celebrated annually on April 2, to encourage member states of the United Nations to raise awareness about autistic individuals throughout the world.
