Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Tuesday ruled out the prospect of early Parliamentary elections in the country and called on the domestic “radical” opposition to "concentrate on the elections instead of self-damaging rhetoric”.

Responding to the recent calls for elections from a part of the domestic opposition, Kobakhidze said the opposition “know very well that there will be no early elections. The elections will be held within the constitutional terms - in October 2024”.
