Georgia reports 888 new cases of coronavirus, 17 deaths

Georgia has reported 888 new Covid-19 cases, 2,831 recoveries, and 17 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 10.92 percent.
Overall 29,029 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.
A total of 21,620 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 19,218 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 2,402 were PCR tests.
1,639,678 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.
A total of 1,594,011 of 1,639,678 patients have recovered, while 16,612 have died from the virus.

The 888 new cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 434 cases
- Adjara - 32 cases
- Imereti - 111 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 29 cases
- Shida Kartli - 50 cases
- Guria - 42 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 53 cases
- Kakheti - 88 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 25 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 10 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 14 cases

A total of 986 are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. Currently, 280 people are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
28,043 people are undergoing treatment at home.
Overall, 1,354,918 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,252,693 people have been fully vaccinated amounting to 43.5 percent of the country’s adult population and 230,676 have received booster shots of the vaccine.
Daily confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Georgia have decreased 24 times, while the cases of hospitalisation have dropped 12 times compared to data from February, the Health Ministry announced on Wednesday.
Georgia has reported 1,099 new Covid-19 cases, 800 recoveries, and 10 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 12.39 percent. Overall 30,989 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.
A total of 10.9 million GEL ($3.3m/€3m) was spent on hotel service expenditures across Georgia between the pandemic outbreak and March 1, 2022 for using the spaces for quarantine, Interpressnews agency reported on Wednesday.
A range of Covid-19-related limitations on public events and gatherings will begin to be eased in Georgia starting next month, from club venues being allowed to operate at reduced capacity, to weddings, conferences and other gatherings permitted.
Georgia has reported 872 new Covid-19 cases, 913 recoveries, and 18 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the last seven days stands at 6.61 percent. Overall 28,970 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.
