Russia’s war against Ukraine must be stopped, with Europe ensuring “such horror and aggression” never repeats “in our common home”, Irakli Chikovani, MP from the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party said on Wednesday.

Speaking at an extraordinary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Chikovani called Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine a “never-before-seen aggression” that violates “all principles of international law” and norms of international relations.

This is happening in Europe in 2022, despite all efforts to establish peace. I want to reaffirm our solidarity with Ukraine. We stand with Ukraine and strongly condemn these attacks. This should end immediately,” Chikovani told the session.
