Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Friday met Beka Dvali, Georgia’s new Ambassador to Australia, to discuss ties and the importance of maintaining a “positive dynamic” in bilateral cooperation with the country.
Praising the existing “fruitful cooperation” in economy, agriculture, tourism, education and other sectors, the officials focused on the prospects of further strengthening the partnership between the two countries in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
Dvali is a career diplomat, having served as Georgia’s Ambassador to South Africa since 2012, and replaces Giorgi Dolidze in the new position.
He is a lawyer by profession, with a master's degree in comparative and European law from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
