Finance minister, International Finance Corporation director discuss cooperation

Georgian finance minister Lasha Khutsishvili and Rana Karadsheh, International Finance Corporation’s regional director for Europe, on Tuesday discussed cooperation between the country and the international company, the ministry of finance said. 

The conversation touched on the progress of the projects supported by the IFC in Georgia, as well as questions of capital market development, lending to small and medium sized businesses and opportunities to increase the investment potential in the sector", the ministry added.

The state body also said the sides had noted economic trends of Georgia, pointing out the country’s 10.2 percent growth in the first nine months of 2022. 

Khutsishvili also introduced the agenda of government reforms to Karadsheh, who expressed readiness to continue the partnership with the Georgian side "more actively" in the future for the development of the public and private sector.
