The national bank of Georgia hosted the Sustainable Finance Forum on Wednesday, bringing together over 300 attendants from 55 countries including senior officials of central banks, local financial institutions, international organisations, private and public sector representatives, universities and other stakeholders.

Koba Gvenetadze, the governor of the NBG, welcomed participants of the fourth edition of the forum in his opening remarks, highlighting the bank's sustainable finance achievements and celebrating its fifth anniversary of joining the Sustainable Banking Network.

I am very pleased to see the growing interest towards sustainable finance [...] It is symbolic that the idea of developing a sustainable finance roadmap for Georgia was born at the very first Sustainable Finance Forum. And today, on the fourth [edition], we are celebrating its successful implementation", Gvenetadze said.
