Georgian police officers have arrested a British citizen for physical assault on employees of Ori Nabiji supermarket in capital Tbilisi, the interior ministry said on Wednesday.
The arrest follows the footage of the incident, posted on social media earlier, with the video going viral.
In the footage, a verbal dispute is followed by a physical confrontation between the offender and store employees.
The crime is punishable by up to one year in prison.
Police have detained two individuals in Tbilisi earlier today who had plans to break in and rob a Spar supermarket on Chitaia street in Chugureti district.
