Georgia is hosting representatives of the Hollywood film industry to introduce the industry professionals to the country’s creative sector and filming potential, the country’s export promotion agency Enterprise Georgia announced on Monday.
Invited as part of the Film in Georgia programme, the visitors are hosted in different regions of the country that feature notable filming locations, the state body said.
Enterprise Georgia noted the location scouts were looking for shooting sites for specific types of film projects, noting their particular interest in locations suitable for filming martial arts episodes and Soviet-era architecture. Locations hosting the visiting professionals include capital Tbilisi and the Black Sea city of Batumi.
