The involvement of non-governmental organisations is “extensive”, as at least two NGOs - about 200 NGOs in whole - are represented in every Parliamentary working group, created to review judicial reforms for fulfilling the conditions outlined by the European Union for granting Georgia the membership candidate status, Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili told reporters on Sunday.

Papuashvili said the Georgian Government had cooperation with the Eastern European Partnership’s civil platform, uniting about 200 NGOs, and noted that they would name two organisations, which would submit relevant reports and represent other NGOs in the working group.

Parliament Speaker also stressed the NGOs would have the opportunity to rotate and decide which organisations would attend particular meetings.
