Georgian police officers have arrested 20 individuals for illegal purchase, possession and smuggling of drugs in capital Tbilisi and other regions of the country, with 14 of the arrested charged with drug-dealing, the Georgian Interior Ministry said on Thursday.
The Ministry said in addition to drug dealing, some of the arrested individuals illegally cultivated marijuana.
During the search operations of the offenders, police seized Alpha PVP placed for sale at 25 locations.
Police had also seized a large amount of drugs, including 560 pills of Subutex, over 800 grams of cannabis, heroin, cocaine and other drugs.
The crimes are punishable up to 20 years in prison, or life imprisonment.
