Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Monday said the country’s European partners recognised the results achieved in its path of European integration.
Darchiashvili noted the partners acknowledged Georgia's “European prospects” in bilateral formats.
All our partners, of course, recognise the results that our country has achieved in recent years on the path to European integration, and this process will continue in the future. Our partners in bilateral formats recognise Georgia's European prospects and we are talking to them on how to accelerate this process,” the top Georgian diplomat said.
He also said there had “always” been and would “remain to be” countries within the EU that were “sceptical” to the enlargement of the bloc, pointing out the Government “actively” worked with such sceptics.
We are also actively working with the relevant sceptical [EU] countries to show them the opportunities that our country has created through the active reform agenda and the expectations that we have - the expectations that are very important to us when we talk about our European tomorrow,” Darchiashvili concluded.
