Deputy Gov’t Administration Head promoted to lead structure

Revaz Javelidze, the Deputy Head of the Georgian Government Administration, has been promoted to the post of the Head of the state body, the Administration announced on Tuesday. 

Javelidze replaces Illia Darchiashvili, who was appointed the country’s Foreign Minister earlier in April by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. 

With experience in both the private and public sectors, Javelidze used to serve as the Deputy Sports Minister, beside a background of work at international companies.

The newly appointed Government Administration Head has a Master's degree from the University of Texas School of Law, the office said.
