Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will personally hand over the first completed part of the country’s European Union membership questionnaire to Karl Hartzel, the Head of the EU Delegation to Georgia, on Monday.

The Georgian Government completed the work on the first part of the questionnaire, with Garibashvili extending his gratitude to “everyone who was involved” in the process at the weekly Government meeting.

He also said work was already underway on the second part of the document, set to be submitted to the EU by May 13, the Government Administration said.

The second part is a more extensive document and includes 2,300 questions and 33 chapters in technical and sectoral directions of the country.

Based on the questionnaire, the European Commission will prepare an evaluation report on granting the candidate status to the country, with the relevant decision expected by the end of June.
