Documentary movie lovers can already watch Georgian filmmaker Salome Jashi’s documentary movie The Dazzling Light of Sunset on Netflix Europe.
Following the daily life of a small community in western Georgia’s town of Tsalenjikha, the documentary focuses on a local TV station covering provincial stories including weddings, church rituals and more.
Soon after the premiere The Dazzling Light of Sunset won the top prize of the New Look section at the Nyon International Film Festival in April, 2016.

Later after receiving the first prize, the Georgian director’s work was awarded the Best International Feature Film prize by the jury of the Valdivia International Film Festival.
Salome Jashi’s documentary also received the top prize of the ZagrebDox festival In Croatia in 2017.
Filmmaker Salome Jashi will see her latest documentary Taming the Garden screened at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, with the event set for an online run starting next month.
