A fire that broke out close to Kvareli Lake in eastern Georgian region of Kakheti yesterday has been extinguished.

An Emergency Management Service had earlier announced that the difficult landscape and the wind hindered the firefighting operation.
The border police helicopter has also helped extinguish the fire.

A fire has broken out in the Chagurgura gorge in Kvareli, eastern Georgia in over 5 hectares of land. An Emergency Management Service is involved in the firefighting operation but the difficult landscape and the wind hinder the process.
