Thirteen individuals in Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, Guria, Adjara and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions of Georgia have been placed under quarantine for violating self-isolation rules to prevent the further spread of coronavirus, announces the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Within the last 24 hours, law enforcers found 13 additional cases of violating terms of self-isolation.Citizens from Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, Guria, Adjara and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions have been transferred to the quarantine for violating self-isolation rules”, read the press-release published by the ministry.
The violations were discovered through the joint monitoring of Georgia’s National Disease Control Centre (NCDC) and the patrol police.
The Interior Ministry announced that it continues to operate in a round-the-clock regime along with the NCDC to prevent the possible spread of the coronavirus and closely monitor citizens in self-isolation.
At this moment 55 persons are placed under the quarantine in total for violating rules for self-isolation, said the ministry.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to “demonstrate high public responsibility and comply with mentioned regulations”.
