Three individuals have been detained for illegal access to computer systems by a group and stealing 72,500 GEL (22,000 USD). The three individuals were assisted by a 17-year-old.
The crime is punishable by 6-10 years in prison.
The Georgian Interior Ministry said that the 17-year-old individual created a so-called fisher website which resembled the interface of a Georgian bank.
Then he shared the website on social media and urged users to participate in a lottery.
Several users typed their personal data and bank information there.
In total the individuals stole money from eight bank accounts.
