Police detain one for murder of Indian citizen in Tbilisi

Georgian police officers have detained one individual identified only as G.M. for the murder of Indian citizen M.M., 33, in the Isani district in Tbilisi.
An investigation uncovered that the Indian citizen was killed in a firearm assault following a verbal confrontation with the detainee, G.M.
The police have seized a firearm in relation to the murder case.
The crime is punishable by seven to 15 years in prison.
Malkhaz Kobauri, accused of brutally murdering the Smith Family in eastern Georgia in the summer of last year, has been sentenced to life imprisonment.He and his family members reacted with protest to the prison term, calling it ‘unfair’.
Iago Nebieridze, 34, who was detained for killing a nine-year-old girl in the autumn has been sentenced to life.
The Georgian Chief Prosecutor’s Office has announced that 19-year-old Shepard Malkhaz Kobauri, who has been accused of murder of Ryan and Caleb Smith in mountainous Georgia in July, has also been charged for the rape and murder of Lora Smith.
Lawyer Aleksandre Kobaidze, who represents the accused, 19-year-old Malkhaz Kobauri, says that his client is mentally fit.
