Georgian officials are saddened by Ukraine military plane crash that has taken the lives of 26 people, most of them air cadets.
President Salome Zurabishvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani have sent their condolences to the families of the victims of the crash and the people of Ukraine.
President Zurabishvili wrote:
Very painful to hear about the death of young cadets and pilots in a plane crash in #EasternUkraine. My thoughts go to the families of the victims and to the people of Ukraine.

The plane carrying 20 cadets and seven officers from Kharkiv Air Force University came down near the eastern city of Kharkiv earlier today.
The aircraft Antonov-26 which was carrying out a training flight has only one survivor.
