This is undoubtedly a big step. I have mentioned before that with the entry of Euronews Georgia, Georgia will become closer to Europe... We will better introduce our country to Europe. This is a kind of bridge between Georgia and Europe”, said Zurabishvili.
Zurabishvili also mentioned she is glad that the new channel is training young journalists to European standards, to objectively fight against false information.
Euronews Georgia, a bridge between Europe and Georgia, allows our country to become better known in Europe not only for our culture and tourism opportunities, but also for the example, that Georgia can be a place where investing is not only easy, but also efficient”, said Zurabishvili in an interview hosted by Euronews chief executive Michael Peters.
Euronews Georgia is a new Georgian information channel and digital platform, with local and international news in Georgian.
With a team of 600 journalists of more than 30 different nationalities, Euronews’ 12 editions cover world news 24/7 in Arabic, English, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
