Tbilisi’s iconic TV tower will be reconstructed, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said yesterday.
The project will cost between 10-15 million GEL.
As you remember, during the pre-election campaign, I spoke about the reconstruction of the Tbilisi TV tower. We worked a lot with the Ministry of Economy on this issue. We announced a tender to develop a concept of what could be done to the TV tower, for its development and reconstruction. We have already received the plan,” said Kaladze.
Kaladze noted that the reconstructed TV tower will be esthetically pleasing and will offer a lookout point sporting a panoramic view of the surroundings and cafes as well.
Tbilisi TV Broadcasting Tower is a free-standing tower structure used for communications purposes.
It is one of the most famous landmarks in Tbilisi located on Mtatsminda.
The tower was built in 1972.
