Tourists from Israel may be among the first visitors in Georgia after the coronavirus lockdown, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has stated at the meeting with the representatives of the tourism sector in Georgia’s western Imereti region today.

We understand that this is a difficult period, especially for those employed in the tourism sector. I can’t tell you that everything will change in one day, but we hope that we will recover slowly, step by step... It will take us about a year, but we must understand that we need to work together”, said Gakharia.

Earlier today, Gakharia visited Kutaisi International Airport, where construction of a new terminal is underway.
