Georgian soldiers awarded for exemplary deeds in Afghanistan

Soldiers of the 22nd Georgian battalion were awarded for their exemplary deeds at the Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan yesterday.
They were personally thanked by Senior Representative of Georgian Military Forces to Afghanistan Malkhaz Merlani and were given gifts.
Junior Sergeant Merab Iremadze found a wallet with a large amount of money and documents inside, and handed it over to base administration. Afterwards the items were returned to their owner.
Several days later Corporal Badri Putkaradze found a wallet with 1,200 USD in it. Corporal Specialist Zviad Kadaria and Sergeant Irakli Tabatadze also found a large amount of money and other personal items.
The military servicemen informed the military police without delay and the lost money and items were handed over to their owners.
The Georgian peacekeepers were officially thanked for their exemplary deeds.
A similar event also took place several weeks ago in the Resolute Support mission staff.
Firefighters of the Emergency Service Center of Georgia encountered a large amount of money in a small case while responding to a fire at Inanishvili Street, Tbilisi, and handed the sum over to the patrol police.
Mziuri Japaridze, who owns a guesthouse in Mestia in the Georgian region of Svaneti, returned a large amount of money, electric and ID cards her Chinese visitor had earlier lost at the guesthouse.

Two Georgian soldiers currently protecting international peace in Afghanistan have received awards for their exemplary service at Bagram Air Base in the war-torn country.
The company of Georgian soldiers of the first infantry brigade has completed their tour in the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan and returned home without losses today. General Aleksandre Kiknadze and Commander of the first infantry brigade Vice –Lieutenant Roland Dzneladze met them at the airport.
