Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze has paid tribute to Georgian soldiers who lost their lives in the struggle against Soviet occupation.
PM Bakhtadze and Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze laid a wreath on the memorial for those who fell on 17-24 February 1921 in battles near Ialguji, Kojori and Tabakhmela.
These young people stood up against the Soviet occupation and sacrificed their lives. I bow to all Georgian heroes. The Georgian statehood stands on their sacrifice,” PM Bakhtadze said.
