Karlo Taziashvili, 80, has been delivered to a hospital on Tbilisi-controlled territory from the Akhlalgori district of the occupied Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) yesterday.
Reportedly, Taziashvili was first taken to Akhalgori hospital with “acute heart failure”, however, as his health conditions worsened, he was allowed to be transferred to Mtskheta, a town nearby Tbilisi.
Akhalgori governor Nugzar Tinikashvili said a five-member team has been established in the occupied district, which is comprised of medical staff responsible on deciding whether a patient needs to be taken to Tbilisi-controlled territory or not.
Tinikashvili also noted that this has been the third case when a patient has been allowed to leave the occupied district because of health reasons in last several weeks.

Margo Martiashvili, who suffered a stroke in Akhalgori district, died in the hospital of occupied Tskhinvali as her relatives were unable to transport her to the Tbilisi-controlled territory.
Family of another women, Tamar Gigauri, who fell into a well of seven meters deep in Akhalgori district in early-November was also not allowed to deliver the injured to Tbilisi hospital.
