2,561 Georgian citizens have been deported from foreign states between January and September of 2019, the Georgian Interior Ministry says.
The ministry said that 2,798,199 Georgian citizens crossed the border in the period, while 2,755,540 returned back to the country, with more than 42,000 yet to return.
The data of 2018 shows that 29,237 Georgians did not return back to the country.
3,697,152 Georgian citizens crossed the border in 2018 and 3,667,915 returned back.
In 2017 3,850,617 crossed the border and 3,813,867 returned back. In total 36,750 did not return back to the country in 2017.
4,584 Georgian citizens were deported from foreign states last year, with most of them being deported from Turkey, Israel and Germany.
