Top Georgian officials have commemorated the deadliest terror attack on the United States in 2001, claiming nearly 3,000 lives and leaving thousands injured.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia wrote in his tweet:

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili wrote on her official Twitter page that the day “changed history, and unified the world.”
18 years ago, New York City, the people of the United States, and the entire world woke up to an unspeakable tragedy. The attacks on New York changed the course of history, but unified the world in the fight against terrorism. Today, Georgia remembers the 2,977 victims of 9/11.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry stated that the US and Georgia continue to stand side-by-side against in the fight against terrorism.

18 years ago on the day Al Qaeda carried out the deadliest ever terror attack on the US by hijacking four passenger planes and crashing two into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon and another into a Pennsylvania field.
2,977 were killed and up to 6,000 injured.
The terror attack resulted in at least 10 billion USD damage of infrastructure.
