Georgian amber wines presented in Korea

Twelve different kinds of amber wines from Georgia, Japan, Croatia, New Zealand, Italy, and Slovenia were presented in Daejeon, Republic of Korea, where a special tasting of amber wines was held.

The event held on August 21 and was attended by famous wine writers, importers and sommeliers from around the world.

The event is part of a partnership between the Georgian Embassy in the Republic of Korea and the National Wine Agency of Georgia which aims to increase awareness and export of Georgian wine to the Korean market. The tasting was held in the framework of the 7th Asia Wine Trophy 2019 held in Daejeon from 18 to 21 August by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV).

Georgia was also invited as the special guest to the opening of the 2019 Daejeon International Wine Festival, where representatives of the Daejeon government and wine professionals from different countries participated.
