Citi Group, the multinational investment bank and financial services corporation headquartered in New York City has praised Georgia as ‘interesting and reliable partner’.
Jay Collins Vice Chairman of Corporate and Investment Banking of Citigroup has expressed Citi’s support to Georgia at the meeting with the Prime Minister of the country, Mamuka Bakhtadze at Davos Klosters today.
“We have discussed Georgian economy as well as the PM’s vision how to continuously upgrade the country and its capital markets. But most importantly we talked about investment, growth and jobs. The meeting was very constructive,” Collins said after the meeting.
Moreover, PM Bakhtadze has provided information to the Vice Chairman of the Citigroup about the tax initiatives of the Georgian government.
The parties have also discussed the upcoming visit of the OPIC (Overseas Private Investment Corporation) management to Georgia and the possibilities of more financing for potential projects.
