Georgian Reconciliation Minister Ketevan Tsikhelashvili has presented a report on peace initiative ‘Step to Better Future’ of the Georgian government when meeting with delegates of the Committee for Civilian Aspects of Crisis Management (CIVCOM) and the EU monitoring mission June 26 in Tbilisi.
The presented report aimed to show the Georgian government’s position regarding the conflict resolution in Russia-occupied regions of Georgia.
The session was chaired by EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) Head Erik Hoeg.
The EUMM’s mandate and the mission’s future activity were discussed during the meeting.
Reconciliation Minister Ketevan Tsikhelashvili delivered a speech on the details of the peace initiative ‘Step to Better Future’ by the Georgian government.
The restrictions the EUMM faces in the Georgian occupied regions was also highlighted as the EUMM patrols are not allowed to conduct monitoring beyond the administrative boundary lines.
