Georgia defeats Russia, triumphs in Rugby Europe Championship

Georgia’s national rugby team has defeated Russia in the Rugby Europe Championship in the Russian city of Krasnodar today.

The Georgian ‘Lelos’ handed a defeat to Russia 29 to 9, gaining their fourth victory in a row.

Congratulating the ‘Lelos’ on their Twitter page, the Rugby Union of Russia wished good luck to the Georgian team in the final round.

On their previous games Georgian ‘Lelos’ defeated Spain with 23 to 10 in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, Germany with 64 to 0 in the German town of Offenbach and Belgium - with 47 to 0 in the western Georgian town of Kutaisi.

On the final day of the championship on March 18, Georgia will face Romania at the Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi.
